The Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) just today announced the selection of our own Creative Director, Bianca Ferrer, as a member of the prestigious PCMA 20 in their Twenties class of 2016. Bianca is the first professional out of the Houston Meetings + Events market to be granted the designation and one of two Texans in the class. The 2016 class boasts members from all over the world spanning The United States, Canada, The Netherlands, Malaysia, and Slovakia.
20 in their Twenties is designed to engage the best and brightest in the Meetings, Conventions and Business Events industry in the world. As part of the 2016 class, Bianca will have a platform with PCMA to showcase her talents and how she will further shape the meetings industry.
The year long educational program will begin with Bianca’s attendance and recognition at the PCMA Convening Leaders conference at one of the world’s top convention centers in Vancouver, Canada where she will meet the fellow members of her class, network with the PCMA Board of Directors and Education Foundation Board of Trustees, as well as previous members of the 20 in their Twenties program. She will be featured in Convene Magazine, be granted a complementary membership to PCMA for the 2016 year, as well as engage with PCMA for continued education.
As an applicant for the class, Bianca was asked to name an innovative idea for transforming the Convention Industry and the way it’s viewed. In this area, she named her goal of putting Houston on the map as a top ten convention and meetings destination globally.
Rebecca Loeb, CEO of Coterie Spark, says, “This is a major accomplishment for our team as we value the pursuit of education and learning as a foundational element that drives each one of us. We are proud of Bianca for her work in showcasing our city as a major meeting destination.”
