With a strong international influence, the use of elaborately themed and cultural entertainment was of great significance to the institution, as well as the tradition of the event.
The gala featured intricate transitions that Coterie Spark incorporated through performance art and entertainment. Seamless movement was a top priority, with more than 65 presenters that required 10 different transitions. Coterie Spark carefully envisioned each step and how the guests’ attention would effortlessly move from one stage to the next. Leading up to the gala, the use of detailed technical scripts ensured that all parties involved knew exactly what was expected of them and where they needed to be at any given moment.
The day of the gala, Coterie Spark conducted various technical rehearsals with each performer and speaker, that allowed the final stage placement and show flow to be fine-tuned. Once the gala began, each member of the Coterie Spark team of producers handled specific entertainers and speakers. It was imperative that the producers kept careful track of their assigned groups since the timing of the evening was crucial, and also coincided with an intricate dinner service. As a result of the success of the gala, Coterie Spark has been engaged to continue planning future galas.
